Shock at Bloombergs, seriously injured his ankle in Aris’ match against Lietkampelis
Fight for Aris after Roberts Blumbergs’ injury in the away game against Lietkambelis.
There were 4:37 minutes left in halftime of the Lietkampelis-Aris EuroCup second-round game when Roberts Blumbergs scored a three-pointer, only to see Gendiminas Orelik kick his top hat. With no room to land safely, the yellow and black Latvian striker stepped on his opponent’s leg and twisted his ankle very badly, freezing time for Yannis Kastritis.
Blumbergs stayed on the ground for a while, clutching his leg and needing help from his teammates to get away with support. At the same time, Orelik expressed his objections to the unsportsmanlike accusation that was made against him, which of course was clean and justified.
