Kastritis: “We only conceded 21 points in the second half, we are trying to build up self-confidence”
Yiannis Kastritis spoke about how important defense was after Aris’ win over Slask, stressing that this result away in Thessaloniki will also benefit the team’s psychology.
Aris celebrated its first away win in the EuroCup and second in a row in the competition in Poland against Slask, with the defense taking the lead. Yiannis Kastritis also pointed this out after the end of the game.
“It was an important win against a team that we knew would be fighting for their first positive result. In the second half we did a great job defensively, conceding only 21 points while improving our offensive positions.
We’re still at the beginning, trying to build trust and find chemistry. And an away win in the EuroCup is always very important and helps in this direction. But we have to move on and watch the game against AEK for the Greek championship,” suggested the Greek technician from the yellow and black team.
