Funderburke is a Prometheus player

DJ Funderburk (25 years old, 2.07 m) is now a Prometheus player, the patrons said in their announcement.

The American forward/center is the team’s third signing this year after Arnoldas Kulboka and Vassilis Murato, with the Patrinos also announcing the renewals of Nikos Gikas and Travis Simpson.

In the ending season, Funderburk first played in Avtodor Saratov, averaging 10.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 22 minutes of participation, while finishing it in Paris, with whose jersey he averaged 4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 13 minutes scored participation.

“KAE Prometheus announces its agreement with American athlete DJ Funderburk, who will compete with the Patras team jersey in the 2022-23 season.

DJ Funderburk is 25 years old, born on April 12, 1997 in Lakewood, Ohio, is 2.07 m tall and plays primarily as a center, although he can also fill the position of power forward. In the 2017-18 season, he began his college career in Northwest Florida State and then transferred to NC State. Last season, which was also his first as a professional basketball player, he came to Europe to play against Russian Avtodor Saratov, with whom he averaged 10.7 points and 2.6 rebounds. Due to the Russia-Ukraine War, Funderburk left Avtodor Saratov in March, ending the year with Paris Basketball, where he played in 11 games.
