The Sixers got Harrell and strengthened their bench
In an important step, the Sixers have reached an agreement with Montrezl Harrell (28 years, 2.01 meters), which adds depth to their big line.
It took September, but Montrezl Harrell (28 years, 2.01 meters) found work. And even a title contender after agreeing to a two-year, $5.2 million contract with the Sixers with an option for a second year.
Under normal circumstances, Harrell would have hooked up with a team from the early days of free agency over the summer. But the fact that he was arrested in June with a substantial amount of marijuana in his car and charged with drug trafficking – where his sentence could have been 5 years in prison! – removed all concerned. However, a few days ago the charges were dropped from a felony (trafficking) to a misdemeanor (possession), which made things…simpler.
James Harden, with whom he coexisted with the Rockets from 2015 to 2017, played a key role in Harrell’s election to the Sixers.
In the ending season, the 28-year-old center played for the Wizards and the Hornets, averaging 13.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2 assists in 23 minutes of attendance, making him one of the most productive backup players for another year United States NBA talls.
