Following the NBA’s investigation into the allegations against Robert Sarver, the league announced that the Suns’ powerman has been suspended from the organization for one year and fined $10 million.

Allegations of racist and sexist behavior against Suns owner Robert Sarver have prompted the NBA to launch an investigation into the Suns’ big man. On the afternoon of September 13, the league announced that Sarver had in fact committed similar offenses at least five times, including using sexist and racist language towards female employees.

In fact, his wife, Penny Sarver, texted three former Suns employees, saying: “I decided to reach out to these people and tell them how disappointed and hurt I am because these lies are being told about my husband. I shared the betrayal I felt and mentioned the pain we felt. But any notion that I was trying to intimidate her is silly and overblown.”

Therefore, the NBA decided to punish Sarver and ban him from the organization of the Phoenix Suns and the Phoenix Mercury for a period of one year. At the same time, he was fined $10 million, which will be donated to organizations fighting racism and sexism.

Finally, Sarver will participate in training aimed at shaping the right behavior.
