NBA: 1997-98 Jordan jersey sells for historic $10.1 million

At auction, Jordan’s jersey from his last season with the Chicago Bulls (1997-98) sold for the outrageous and historic sum of $10.1 million. The crowd is staggering and this particular jersey was the first NBA product to sell for that much money.
The jersey was auctioned for eight days, the break September 6-14 and it’s all about the jersey worn by “Air” in Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals between the Bulls and the Jazz in Utah.
Despite initial estimates of a retail price of around $5 million, the number skyrocketed, eventually doubling to $10.1 million.
