A victory in style, in the style of the golden generation, controlling the tempo of the race and opening the distance from the start. An income of 21 in the second quarter could have been decisive for Sergio Scariolo’s men but Evan Fournier was responsible for bringing the Spaniard back to reality.

Third quarter
End of third quarter (66-57): and again two bad minutes from Spain put the French in the game. Between Yabusele and Okobo they have managed to get the Gauls into the final round with plenty of options to come back.
2:57 (61-51): Bad moments for the Spaniards now in the attack that are transferred to the defense. Losses and poor defensive balances prevent Spain from maintaining a higher income.
4:15 (58-48): Scariolo returns to a zone and mixed defense with the second unit. Key moment of the match.
5:12 (58-48): surprise from Spain reviving with a partial result of 8-0 Jaime Fernández’s tremendous work with a three-pointer and a steal plus a layup. France goes back to -12 and calls a timeout.
