Kostas Antetokounmpo will fight for a place in the Bulls’ squad
Costas Antetokounmpo will attend Chicago Bulls training camp with the prospect of signing a two-way contract for the 2022-23 season.
A return to the NBA is an enticing prospect, and Kostas Antetokounmpo isn’t about to pass it up. That’s why, according to Sams Charania, he reached an agreement with the Chicago Bulls to get involved in prep and compete for a spot on next season’s roster on a two-way contract.
The 24-year-old international (2.08), who remains on a free transfer after ending his association with France’s Villeurbanne, has played in 22 matches in the top world league, recording 1 point and 1 rebound per 4 minutes on the ground. Despite his limited time, he has a championship ring in his collection as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, who won the 2020 title.
The other team he played for is the Dallas Mavericks, to which he was traded from the Sixers. The Philadelphia team picked him 60th overall in the 2018 draft.
In the 2021-22 EuroLeague season, he had 5.8 points with 72% on twos and a season-best 12 against Panathinaikos, 2.6 rebounds and 7.1 points in the scoring system. TJ Parker used it 13 minutes per game.
