Mykhailiuk won the Knicks contract via… EuroBasket
Thanks to the numbers he posted at EuroBasket 2022, Svi Mykhailiuk landed a partially guaranteed contract with the New York Knicks.
With 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2.8 assists with Ukraine at EuroBasket 2022, the Svi Mykhailiuk confident he remains a good fit for any team that chooses him.
Eager to take advantage of the situation, the New York Knicks gave the 25-year-old Ukrainian guard/forward (2.03) a chance to stay in the NBA by playing for a fifth other organization.
His contract is partially guaranteed and runs for a year until the 2022-23 season. So it will be interrupted under certain conditions.
Mykhailiuk is coming off a four-year streak of 220 games in the top division. With an average game time of 17 minutes, he has averaged 6.6 points on 40% shooting, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists so far. His most productive season was the second half of the 2020-21 season with 10.3 points and 3 rebounds for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
