Kevin Durand’s Big Fall To An ESPN Analyst

Steven A. Smith continues to comment on Kevin Durand’s departure from the Warriors and the Nets superstar has now counterattacked, calling him a hater.

The Nets aren’t having their best season. They’re 6th in the East, the Raptors, the Celtics and the Hornets are pushing them hard to knock them out of the top 6 which goes straight into the playoffs, Kyrie Irving only plays away games, James Harden probably wants to leave The Sixers and Kevin Durand are recovering from a knee injury while listening to Steven A. Smith allude to his decision to leave the prolific Golden State Warriors. And of course he doesn’t drop anything.

I have to be very careful what I say because Durand’s mother is watching, so I have to be very clear about what I say. I said recently that if KD loses this year too, they will recognize him as the guy who left Steve Carey to win with Kyrie Irving. You’ll recognize him that way and not as the guy who’s won two championships and two MVP finals. We all know how awesome KD is, it’s the best thing in the world when it’s healthy. I have so much respect for him. But there will be people who will say that. They will address his decision to play with Kyrie Irving while leaving Steph Curry. He’s worth more and I told him he knows unfair things are being said about him” were the words of Steven A. Smith on the NBA countdown.

On Sunday lunchtime, Durand responded with a tweet that added fuel to the fire: “Steven, from the day you decided to use ESPN to further your personal agenda, I’m sure your minions will support you. But if you think my career will be shaped like this, then you’re just a hater“.
