Good news for Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers as the LA team reports their star has been cleared by doctors to train at 100% but they will be taking a…cautious approach.

Kawhi Leonard is now at or near 100% ready. The final hurdle in the Clippers star’s recovery – medical clearance to train without restrictions and compete in family doubles – has been cleared to the satisfaction of everyone on the team.

According to the Clippers, the team’s medical staff gave the final “OK” and Leonard will be able to train at 100% from the start of preseason. However, the LA team intends to take a cautious approach throughout the season.

It feels great” Clippers President Lawrence Frank said, adding: “His plan is to take part in everything. However, we as an organization will be careful. It will be a gradual process.”

The news that Leonard is now fully qualified shouldn’t come as a surprise as it was announced over the summer that he was planning to play in the Clippers’ friendlies. For the Clippers, who were called up to the playoffs of the 2020/21 season without their star last season due to his injury (torn cruciate ligament in his right knee), it is always good news.
