Unlucky Johnson at Spurs, dislocated shoulder and will miss pre-season
Bad news for Spurs after Keldon Johnson suffered a dislocated right shoulder and will miss the team’s pre-season and not play in the friendlies.
Keldon Johnson is out with a dislocated right shoulder and will miss training camp and the prep-friendly ones from spores.
The 23-year-old guard/forward was injured while training at the team’s facility, San Antonio said. However, Spurs later clarified that despite initial pessimistic forecasts, it’s possible he won’t miss a regular-season game.
Johnson is a player the Spurs are counting on – particularly after selling Dejude Murray to the Hawks – which they showed in action over the summer when they offered him a four-year, $80 million deal. In the 2021-22 season, Johnson averaged 17 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 32 minutes on 39.8% three-pointers.
