NBA, Durant ‘attacked’ journalist on Twitter: ‘That’s why I don’t like talking to jerks like you’
A question during media day prompted Kevin Durant to later take to Twitter, calling the reporter who posted the post an “idiot.”
Kevin Durant made himself available to reporters during the Nets’ Media Day. The Brooklyn star answered the questions, but it was one that caused his outburst a few hours later.
Notably, journalist Matt Brooks wrote on Twitter that his question was whether he would request another trade from the Nets if things didn’t go well during the season, to which Durant responded.
As Durant said on Twitter, the reporter’s original question was different, and he lashed out: “This bullshit is why I don’t want to talk to idiots like you. That’s not the question he asked me, but you love getting backlash for your post on Twitter so you’re changing it.”
