Lakers announce Bacon will be in contention for roster spot in preseason
The Lakers have announced they have agreed Dwayne Bacon to participate in the team’s preseason, with the former Monaco player vying for the team’s 15th guaranteed contract.
Dwayne Bacon is now part of the Lakers roster, along with Matt Ryan. With a simple post on Twitter, the LA team announced the agreement with the two forwards who will take part in team training.
Bacon has been known for a few days into preseason and has signed a non-guaranteed deal, details of which have not been made public. What is certain is that the Lakers currently already have 14 guaranteed contracts and two players on two-way contracts (Scottie Pippen Jr. and Cole Swinder), meaning the former Monaco player is around the 15th – and last – guaranteed team will fight contract.
