The Bucks, without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, took on the second Grizzlies in the first friendly of the season, with Memphis winning 107-102.

The Bucks opted not to field Giannis Antetokounmpo in the first friendly of the preseason due to his busy summer with the men’s national team as well as the injured Khris Middleton. The Grizzlies entered without their starting five (Morad, Bain, Brooks, Jackson, Adams). In the end, the Memphis secondary had more motivation and clinched the win (102-107).

Memphis’ steamy fourth quarter, in which they were outplayed 41-26, played a role in their win, in a game the Bucks dominated for three periods before losing the pace in the Finals.

David Roddy with 18 points and Kenny Lofton with 17 points led the winners, with Sandy Aldama adding 13 points.

For Milwaukee, Jordan Nuora had 21 points and Grayson Allen had 15 points while Thanasis Antetokounmpo had 2 points in 13 minutes.
