The heat locked Tyler Hero in. It may have taken time, but the two sides eventually agreed to an early four-year, $130 million contract extension.
The 22-year-old guard became the sixth player in the 2019 NBA draft to sign an early contract extension, following Zion Williamson, Ja Morand, RJ Barrett, Darius Garland and Keldon Johnson.
During the 2021-22 season, Hiro averaged 20.7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists with 39.9% on three points in 33 minutes of attendance, feats that helped him win the Best 6 Player of the Year award.
