Australia’s Adelaide 36ers defeated the Suns in Phoenix
The Adelaide 36ers of Australia pulled off a surprise and impressive 134-124 win over the Suns in Phoenix and showed something was wrong with Chris Paul’s company.
Adelaide 36ers fans will long remember what their team achieved. One of the greatest moments in team history – if not the greatest – is now a fact after the Aussies defeated the Suns 124-134 in a friendly in Phoenix and pulled off the upset!
The 36ers showed their teeth early, going 59-71 in the first half, resisting every counterattack attempt by the Suns and scoring a great win while showing they have problems to solve in Phoenix.
An incredible 35-pointer Greg Randall on 9/17 3-pointers led the way for the winners, with Robert Franks 32 points, Antonius Cleveland 22 points and Mitch McCarron 4 points, 9 rebounds and 16 assists (!) in one night added when the Aussies had 24/43 3-pointers.
With the Suns using their starters for a half, Cameron Payne had 23 points and DeAndre Ayton and Mikal Bridges each had 22 points, while Devin Booker had 13 points with Chris Paul adding 6 points and 12 assists.

Chris Bouche with 11 points and 10 rebounds led the winners while Precious Atshua added 10 points.
For the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen had 20 points and Colin Sexton and Walker Kessler each had 11 points.

In a game between two of the NBA’s youngest teams, the Rockets’ ruthless youth went ruthlessly over the Spurs, dismantling them 134-96 in a game decided in the first half.
Tarry Eason (#17 NBA draft) with 21 points and 10 rebounds and Jabari Smith (#3 2022 NBA draft) with 21 points and 8 rebounds led the winners.
For the Spurs, Devin Vassell had 13 points and Isaiah Roby had 12 points.
