Good news for the Nets as Ben Simmons is expected to make his debut in the team’s jersey in the first friendly of the season against well-known Sixers opponents on Tuesday night (10/04, 02:30 GMT). . Durant and Irving also landed on the floor.

The wait is over for Nets fans. It has been revealed that Ben Simmons is set to make his debut in the team’s jersey almost 8 months after being acquired from the Sixers in a trade.

In a game of destiny — or maybe… not so much, since the NBA set the preseason schedule — he meets… the Sixers in his first game with the Nets jersey. The good news for Simmons is that the game will be held at the Nets’ home ground rather than Philadelphia and he will have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving by his side who will also be available.

Simmons is recalled to appear in an official game and Game 7 series of the second round of the playoffs between the Sixers and the Hawks (the latter won 96-103) beginning June 20, 2021. He has been at odds with the Sixers ever since, asking for a trade for psychological reasons and refusing to wear the team’s jersey. He was then traded to the Nets in February 2022 but did not wear the team’s jersey due to back problems, eventually forcing him to walk through the operating room door.
