The Portland team have traded Norman Powell and Robert Covington to the Clippers, all indications are that they will no longer have Damian Lillard in their roster this year and are aiming for a complete rebuild, with McCollum long considered good bait for the organization . .

In his ninth season as a pro, the veteran has 20.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and a steal every 35.2 minutes in 36 games. The Blazers are expected to bring in small forward Josh Hart, Nickel Alexander-Walker, Thomas Satoranski and second-round draft picks.

The Pelicans, on the other hand, continue to aim to fit into the West’s top ten to enter the play-in tournament. They currently stand at 21-32, a record better than the Blazers, Spurs and Kings behind them. Ahead in 9th place are the Los Angeles Lakers, 26-28.

The New Orleans team’s top five now includes Devende Graham, CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram, Herbert Jones and Jonas Valencionas. At least for now, at least Zion Williamson, who didn’t play this year, won’t count.
