NEW YORK – The Toronto Raptors’ Fred VanVleet will take part in the three-point shootout on February 19, a day before the NBA All-Star Game.
Scottie Barnes’s teammate will be in the skill competition.
VanVleet will face opponents Trae Young (Hawks), Zach LaVine (Bulls), Karl-Anthony Towns (T-Wolves), Patty Mills (Nets), Desmond Bane (Grizzlies), Luke Kennard (Clippers) and CJ McCollum (Pelicans ).
Three teams will compete in the Skills Competition, a four-round competition that highlights the art of shooting, passing and dribbling.
Barnes will work with Cade Cunningham (Pistons) and Josh Giddey (Thunder).
Giannis Antetokounbo (Bucks) will be next to his brothers Thanasis and Alex, the Bucks and the Raptors 905.
The hosts, the Cavaliers, will bet on Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.
In the dunk contest, we will see Obi Toppin (Knicks), Cole Anthony (Magic), Jalen Green (Rockets) and Juan Toscano-Anderson (Warriors).
The All-Star Weekend will take place February 18-20 in Cleveland.
VanVleet will play in an All-Star Game for the first time in his career on February 20.
Barnes and Precious Achiuwa will take part in the Rising Stars mini-tournament on February 18.
