It seems that the Basketball Gods are not over with the Brooklyn Nets yet. The men of Steve Nas suffered the 9th consecutive defeat, this time with a score of 126-91 against the Boston Celtics.
Deprived of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, LaMarcus Aldridge and James Harden, the Nets were unable to offer any opposition – however minimal – to the Celtics. After the first quarter of the game, Brooklyn was already 19 points behind.
The success of the Celtics would be the end of a huge team effort. All players except Roméo Langford scored points.
Marcus Smart and Jalen Brown were the most productive in this regard with 22 points. Brown also added seven rebounds and nine assists. Jason Tatum also contributed to the victory with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Of the Nets, Javon Carter with 22 points, Cam Thomas and James Robinson with 17 points were the only ones who picked up the pace.
The Nets’ difficulties come at a very bad time as the Celtics (8th in the East) and the Raptors (7th in the East) are in a six-game winning streak.
The next opportunity for the Nets to end this ugly streak will be Thursday against the Wizards.
Embiid’s streak continues in defeat
Joel Embiid extended his streak by at least 25 points to 21, but his effort was not enough to give the 76ers victory. Philadelphia lost 114-109 to the Phoenix Suns.
Embiid finished the game with 34 points and 12 rebounds. This is the 5th game in a row in which he has collected at least 10 rebounds.
He had, however, fierce competition from Devin Booker, who scored 35 points in the victory. In the 4th quarter, Booker scored two free throws to equalize the game. The Suns then took the lead and held it until the end of the match.
Booker was assisted by Mikal Bridges’ 23 points and Chris Paul’s 16 points and 12 assists. Although he did not score points, Jay Crowder did well under the basket with 14 rebounds.
For the 76ers, Tobias Harris scored 30 points.
The Suns are now three games ahead of the Warriors in the Western Conference.

Version Forbes announced its annual ranking of the world’s most expensive sports teams.
NFL franchise Dallas Cowboys, estimated to be worth $13 billion, has led the pack for the ninth year in a row.
While NBA Golden State Warriors ranked second with a valuation of $11 billion, another representative of American football, Los Angeles Rams (10.5 billion), was in the top three.
The top 10, as last year, includes only American teams from the NFL and NBA. There are seven NFL clubs in the top 10 overall, which Forbes analysts attribute to the league’s large-scale television contracts.
Among football clubs, Real Madrid remains the most expensive – the Spanish giant ranked only 20th with a value of $6.75 billion.
Also in the top 50 are Manchester United (24th, 6.6 billion), Barcelona (42nd, 5.65 billion) and Liverpool (48th, 5.4 billion). In total, only four football clubs are represented in the top 50 rankings.
