What Draymond Green said after his incident with Jordan Poole and the viralization of the video in which he appears to hit his teammate on the Warriors

The wheels of the NBA news cycle turn impressively fast.

Just over 24 hours later Video leaked of Warriors forward Draymond Green punching teammate Jordan Poole in the faceoffered a press conference to journalists in which he spoke about the incident and he apologized profusely for his outburst.

Green played down speculation that his attack on Poole was due to the possibility of Poole’s contract being extended while Green plays out the remainder of his contract.

“It’s not (about) a contract or him getting an extension or me getting an extension”Green said. “I can assure you it is… I’m not counting other people’s pockets. That’s just hating another man’s condition, and that’s something you just don’t do… That has nothing to do with anything.”.

Green went on to talk about himself and the state of mind he was in when the incident happened.

“The day this happened I was in a very, very bad state of mind”he continued. “Dealing with things in my personal life… I can’t sit here and say ‘oh, you’re dealing with things in your personal life, don’t let it affect your cool, don’t let it change your reaction you in moments”.

green too indirectly apologized with Poole and Poole’s family.

“There is great shame This comes with it, not just for me with the doing of the action itself”Green said, “It’s the shame that Jordan has to deal with, the team has to deal with, the organization and his family has to deal with.”

the veteran yes he was upset with the leak of the video first.

“I thought it was nonsense (the video leak)”Green said. “No other training material has been leaked. When we’re working on our sets it’s not leaked. When I’m training everyone it’s not leaked… What was I thinking to myself at the time? I have watched the video 15 times. Maybe more… And it looks even worse than I thought it was… So I had to take a step back and realize that this video was actually released that way to make it look like that… I don’t know who posted the video.”

Green added it “He failed as a leader“Y “I failed as a man” in the incident, and that he will take a few days off from the team as a result of the event.
