Oklahoma City Thunder may hit European basketball again this year
The Oklahoma City Thunder are in a similar situation to last year as they threw 23 million for… They either distribute these as a bonus to their athletes, or they “steal” a player who has a contract outside the USA.
Trade Deadline went down in history and the Thunder were one of the few teams that didn’t bother to change their roster. Now the Oklahoma City team has an amount approaching $23 million to meet the salary floor, the league’s minimum amount they will take from their funds one way or another.
You see, that 23 million should be distributed to players in the form of bonuses at the end of the season, unless GM Sam Presti decides to score a similar goal as he did at Real Madrid last April. Then he took Gabriel Deck because he had money and wanted to try a young EuroLeague forward rather than a young American or a veteran with little potential.
The Thunder therefore have a lot of money to spend to try and possibly beat a European team again if of course there is a player in our area that they like and most importantly an athlete with the right to an NBA in case -Team to go A buyout is paid on his team.
