Giannis Antetokounmpo’s meteoric rise continues, with Forbes revealing his earnings for 2022. LeBron, Curry and Durant are the three ahead of him.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s value continues to rise as Forbes announced the NBA’s highest-paid athlete for 2022 on Thursday (October 13). The Greek freak sits at #4 on the list with an estimated income of $85.6 million, first LeBron James hits 124.5 million, second is Steph Curry at 95.1 million and third is Kevin Durant at 88 million.
According to Forbes estimates, Giannis will end 2022 with $42.5 million from his contract with the Milwaukee Bucks and $44 million from his partnerships with big companies around the world. In 2018 Giannis raised $38.5 million, in 2019 it rose to $43.2 million, in 2020 it reached $47.6 million and in 2021 it reached $80.3 million -Dollar.
Fifth on the list is Russell Westbrook ($82.1 million), sixth is Klay Thompson ($60.6 million), seventh is Damian Lillard ($60.5 million), eighth is James Harden ($53 million), ninth is Paul George ($51 million) and tenth is Jimmy Butler ($49.7 million). Forbes calculates athlete salaries and goal bonuses, while off-field revenue includes sponsorship money, royalties, appearances and memorabilia, but not investments.
