The Milwaukee Bucks lost 4 players in one night and are ‘burning’ for reinforcements

The Bucks need an immediate addition, if not an immediate addition, following the transfer of three players and the injury to Pat Conaton.

The acquisition of Serge Ibaka helped the Bucks fill their most pressing need, but within hours, on Thursday night (10/2), the Milwaukee team found themselves in a very special position, conceding three players and losing one to a serious as evidenced by injuries.

Dode DiVincenzo, used by Mike Budenholzer as backup shooting guard, went to Sacramento, her glue man Pat Conaton, who had broken a finger on his hand. The 29-year-old underdog is having the best season of his career (10.1 points, 40.7% on 3-points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, one steal, 0.6 errors every 27 minutes in 54 games ) he can enter three positions, he can either stand as a five in the possible absence of one of Allen, Middleton, Antetokunbo, but usually enters as a seventh player. And Budenholzer won’t have him available for the next few, maybe 8-10 weeks.

With the Bucks now down four peripherals (DiVincenzo, Hood, Conaton, Ozelege), John Horst must decide how to strengthen the roster as soon as possible, if not immediately. Budenholzer ran out of five peripherals (Holiday, Allen, Matthews, Noora, Middleton) and backup point guard George Hill has a neck problem, so the need for supplements is huge given the six games before and after the 2022 NBA break-all -Star weekend.

The Bucks are 4th in the East with a 35-22 record (19-9 home and 16-13 away) and their next challenges are against the Blazers, Pacers, Sixers, Nets, Hornets and Heath. And if the first two are theoretically passable games, the next four can judge their regular-season placement. Therefore, logic says that even with ten-day contracts, Horst will soon choose at least one, if not more, player. The Milwaukee team has 12 guaranteed, two two-ways, Greg Monroe’s ten days and has to return to 14 in two weeks.
