The Clippers, up a notch, edged out the Lakers 103-97 on Leonard and Wall’s return to the court. The Lakers finished the game with 9/45 three-pointers, with 2 points and 0/11 shooting from Westbrook.

The Clippers are the bosses of Los Angeles. In the game that marked the return of Kawhi Leonard and John Wall after a year, the Clippers defeated the Lakers (who are usually guests) 97-103, whom they defeated for the 8th straight year in recent years.

Wall and George each had 15 points for the winners, with Leonard coming off the bench and adding 14 points in 21 minutes, while Ivica Zubac was instrumental with 14 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks.

With the Lakers ending the game on 9/45 threes, Lonnie Walker had 26 points, Anthony Davis had 25 points and LeBron James had 20 points and 10 rebounds while Russell Westbrook was limited to 2 points on 0/11 shooting.

As for the agony, that was… strange. The Clippers stepped on the gas and got away 23-35 in the first third and 36-52 in the second, but the Lakers responded and leveled the game (56-56).

In the third period, the Clippers broke out and, thanks to a 17:0 run, got away again with 65:80. The Lakers still didn’t give up, however, going into the fourth third on a sustained counterattack 89-87. The Clippers, however, escaped with a new mini-breakout, 93-99 with 2 minutes remaining in the final and never looked back.
