The Wolves threw the Lakers – without Anthony Davis – even further and settled on the trio Edwards-Gober-Towns relying on 111-102, with LA without a win after 5 games.

The Lakers will eventually win. That win didn’t come in Minnesota, however, where Wolves had the clear advantage, taking the win 111-102, lowering LA’s record to 0-5. At 4: 2 is the balance of the “Wolves”.


Anthony Edwards led by 29 points, Rudy Gober added 22 points and 21 rebounds, and Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points, 14 of which came in the fourth quarter as Wolves closed the game.

For the Lakers — who were without Anthony Davis because of a groin strain — LeBron James had 28 points (breaking Karl Malone’s record for the most 20 points in NBA history) and Russell Westbrook (off the bench) had 18 points, but on June 17 shooting, 5/10 shooting and 5 turnovers.
