The atmosphere in the Brooklyn Nets is very tense. Speaking to the media after Steve Nash’s departure, the GM expressed his displeasure with what is going on at the organization.

It turns out the Nets and Steve Nash have decided to part ways. Hours after the Canadian left the Brooklyn team, GM Sean Marks spoke to the media and said things that show how dire the situation at the organization really is.

We decided together that it was time for a change“.

We didn’t ask the players. We didn’t need them“.

Steve Nash didn’t have a fair chance. I am responsible for how the roster was created. Steve bears no responsibility whatsoever“.

I’m not proud of the situation we’re in“.

As far as Kyrie Irving is concerned, we have discussions both inside and outside the team with managers“.

Irving will not be speaking to the media today. We don’t want more fuss and interaction with people“.

All of this at a time when the clamor surrounding what Kyrie Irving says and does isn’t quieting, at a time the organization is soliciting applications for the role of public relations coordinator, at a time when Kevin Durant is in the spotlight because he had asked for the dismissal and of Nas, but also of Shawn Marks.

All of this in an organization that chose to downsize its young roster (D’Angelo Russell, Spencer Dinwiddie, Carys LeVert, Torian Prince, Jarrett Allen) to invest in Irving, Harden, Durant. Now everyone knows the results.

Finally, Marks claims no decision has yet been made on the next coach, who is said to be the suspended Boston Celtics Ime Udoka.
