The Bucks are full for Dragic
Pat Conaton’s injury is forcing the Bucks to look even more actively at the peripheral market, with ESPN saying they intend to do everything in their power to acquire Goran Dragic.
Goran Dragic is the Bucks’ big target right now. That’s according to a report from ESPN, which emphasizes that Milwaukee has given the Slovenian top priority.
With Pat Conaton coming through the operating room door, the Bucks are in dire need of at least one supplement now that trade deadlines have been given by Dode Divincento, Sammy Ozeleglie and Rodney Hood for Serge Ibaka while George H is injured. Somehow they don’t have enough guards available anymore, Dragic covers many of their “wishes”: He is experienced, a good organizer and goalscorer and can come as a free agent.
Milwaukee is expected to have enough competition, of course, as almost all teams aiming for the title will be heading towards the Slovenian when he’s officially free from the Spurs. However, the Bucks hope the fact that they intend to give him a major role as a backup point guard will be enough to convince him.
This season, Dragic managed to play in just 5 games for the Raptors before leaving the team until receiving a trade with the Spurs. During that time, he averaged 8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 18 minutes of attendance.
