Kevin Durant’s wish to bring Steve Nash off the Nets bench came true, albeit months late, and KD didn’t even try to pretend to care.

Not a little, not a lot Kevin Durant vetoed the Nets’ management a few months ago and called for Steve Nash to be removed from the team bench. Brooklyn President Joe Chai had declined KD’s request, but a poor start to the season made the team’s split with the Canadian seem like a one-way street.

Of course, Durant was asked how he heard the news of Nash’s firing and what he thought of it, and he didn’t even try to pretend he cared, saying that both he and the Nets are getting on with their lives like nothing would happen.

“I woke up and saw it on ESPN. You’re always shocked when a change like that happens, but these things happen in the NBA. It was about getting ready for tonight’s game. It’s a fast development, especially during the season. But you have practices, games coming up, so you can’t think about it too much. I thought about it for a while today.stated Durant.
