Kevin Durant became… a tiebreaker in the Kyrie Irving edition

“I’m not here to judge anyone, their life, their opinions,” Kevin Durant said of Kyrie Irving after she was suspended from the Brooklyn Nets.

It’s Friday morning (4/11) and the furor over what Kyrie Irving has been saying and doing over the last few days hasn’t abated. The Nets fired Steve Nash, suspended their starting point keeper for at least five games, heard him apologize to the Jewish community for the first time, and are attempting to return to some…normalcy while playing 10 away games in the next 12 games. With Ben Simmons also out of action.

And while everyone is waiting for at least one player from across the NBA to condemn Irving’s actions (only Robin Lopez has taken a stand, even with a retweet), Kevin Durant, an athlete who theoretically has an opinion on everything and doesn’t hesitate to express it , it worked as… a balance within days, weeks.

I’m not here to judge anyone or talk about their life or judge their opinion. I didn’t like what happened, it was all unnecessary. We could keep playing basketball and keep it on the team. It’s an unfortunate situation, I hope we can overcome it‘ were the words of KD on Friday morning (4/11). No judgment on Kyrie Irving’s anti-Semitic remarks, no judgment on the player who acted as a part-time basketball player last year and bestowed so many rights, it’s amazing for the ease with which it is handled by too many people.
