Kevin Durant tweets clarification after ‘I won’t judge Kyrie Irving’
“I do not condone hate speech,” wrote Kevin Durant, who could have used the word “condemn” but didn’t.
Minutes after “I’m not here to judge anyone’s life or opinions,” Kevin Durant decided he needed a clarifying tweet to state the obvious. These self-evident things that he avoided commenting on, these self-evident things that somehow aren’t even in his tweet, which doesn’t have the intensity that one would wish for from a person like him.
“I just want to clarify the statements I made in the shooting because I see some people are confused. I do not condone hate speech or antisemitism, I am for spreading love. Basketball brings people together and I want to make that clearsays Durant, who could have written that he “condemns hate speech and anti-Semitism.” But for his own reasons, whatever they may be, he didn’t.
