Leonard stays outside, it is not known when he will return
Kawhi Leonard has missed the Clippers’ seventh straight game with persistent discomfort in his operated right knee. The LA team said it’s unclear when he will return.
Kawhi Leonard continues to rehabilitate his operated right knee and the Clippers and their star are still at it.
The two-time NBA Finals MVP missed (also) the game against the Jazz (a 102-110 loss for the LA team) and missed his 7th straight game. As a result, concerns are now growing about his situation, with the Clippers attempting to downplay the problem, but to no great extent.
“There is no timetable for his return” said the team’s coach, Ty Lu, when asked, adding concern, only to then add that “The most important are the tests he has to do with the team’s medical staff and his progress, making him feel better every day. We take it day by day, there is no schedule.”
It is recalled that Leonard missed the entire past season (2021/22) from the 2020/21 season playoffs due to his knee injury (ruptured cruciate ligament). So far this year, he has only played two games and came off the bench in both, averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 steals in 21 minutes.
