Beverly signs a $13 million early contract extension with Wolves
The Wolves wanted to “tie” Patrick Beverly and did just that, agreeing with him on an early contract extension through 2023 for $13 million.
Patrick Beverly has only been with Wolves for a few months, but he has become important. This has prompted Minnesota to offer him an early contract extension for $13 million to keep him through 2023.
Beverly’s contract ($40 million for 3 years) expired this summer. But the Wolves didn’t want to wait until the summer to talk to him and – afraid of losing him – offered him a new deal.
This season, Beverly has averaged 9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 26 minutes (38 games – 34 as a starter), helping DiAngelo Russell and Anthony Edwards on the team’s periphery.
