The Bucks have added the best regional player available to their roster as they shake hands with DiAndre Bebri for a deal through the end of the season.

The significant gaps that have emerged in the Bucks region over the past few days are slowly beginning to close as the Milwaukee team shakes hands with DiAndre Bebri for a contract through the end of the current season, according to ESPN’s Adrian Voinarowski.

The 27-year-old winger competes 2-3, stands 6’2″, has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets, who were released immediately after Trade Deadline and James Harden’s move from Paul Millsap in Philadelphia to add Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond to their roster.

In six career seasons, Babri has 6.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and a steal every 19.4 minutes in 288 games. A good defender, a good teammate, will work in a complementary role, will provide size on 2-3 positions and another option to tag certain players. A smart athlete who moves perfectly off the ball, he’s not a reliable shooter from the periphery, but he’s remarkable in one-on-ones and has good finishes near the basket.

In the best season of his career (2018-19), in 82 games with the Hawks jersey, Babri had 8.4 points (51% on two points, 29% on three points), 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1 .3 steals every 23.5 minutes. He’s going to Milwaukee to give a few minutes and not be a protagonist because the Bucks know they won’t need more than 9-10 players for the rotation in the playoffs (Holiday, Hill, Allen, Matthews, Middleton , Conaton, Antitokunbo , Portis, Ibaka, Lopez).
