Isaac Humphries decided to tell his fight after going through an ordeal.

You are born with an orange ball under your arm, you grow and improve. You are better than the rest who share a place with you. You break through and make it to the NBA. The dream of anyone who is a basketball player.

Anyone’s dream. it doesn’t stop Isaac HumphreysAustralian player, who made it to the NBA (played 5 games for the Atlanta Hawks in 2019) but he thought about taking his own life when he ceased to be himself “because he hated what he was and the environment he was in.”

Being gay in high performance sports is cause for marginalization. Isaac had it, retired and came to live “a place dark, lonely, and sad.”

Today he surpassed that too decided to say it in front of his Melbourne United teammates: “Because for I belong to a new group that I had to stop hiding and live.”

Today when the worst is over, Isaac suggested “To be an example for those who don’t know how to stand up. How to exist. I know how they feel and my goal is to be an example so that they can be what they want to be and do what they want to do.”

“You can be who you want to be and be gay. Sexuality shouldn’t define what you do. That’s my purpose in life.” left for the end of your message, a message full of power, full of pride.
