Magic Antetokounmpo, nuclear-powered Lopez and six-man triumph for Milwaukee

A triumph for the Bucks, who missed the district six times but beat the Cavaliers (113-98) in Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo reached the triple-double (16/12/8), Brook Lopez and Jordan Nuora caught fire from the perimeter.

They had hoped to have some of the injured with them, but the Bucks entered their brand new floor of six absences in the early hours of Thursday (11/17). Holliday, Allen, Matthews, Connaughton, Ingles, Middleton, that’s six regionals, were left out, but the Milwaukee team showed what great character they have in difficult times. They defeated the young, ambitious, very competitive Cavaliers 113-98 and bounced back after two straight losses.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was out of place, he didn’t complete phases that are butter on bread for him, but he played with composure and was incomparable in creation, more reminiscent of Magic Johnson than Greek Freak. In the second half he had a lot of rebounds but he sometimes ran out of courage as he missed some whistles, missed easy finishes but he was happy with what was happening around him. The race

With Carter, Botchamp, Giannis, Portis, Lopez on the starting lineup, the Bucks didn’t start well. They were trailing -7 (9-16) before mid-half, with Budenholzer calling a time-out and waking up his team. The game was beautiful, the Stags held up well against their tough competition and 61-60 at halftime was really great all things considered.

The outburst that everyone was expecting from Giannis came off the bucket overall early in the second half. Lopez was in an unreal situation, scoring like there was no opponent on the court, Carter wrote 81-66 in the middle of the third and that 20-6 in six minutes shocked the Cavaliers. Lopez hit a seventh 3-pointer, Hill fired from the corner for 89-71, Nuora nailed for +20 and what those witnessed on the Fiserv forums was beyond words. The 95-78 season was magical, but the work wasn’t done yet.

The Cavaliers went from -20 to 10 (97-87) with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, after which Carter hit a huge 3-pointer to snip off his opponents’ legs. Nuora did the same for 103-91 in the 41st minute, he also scored 109-91 in the 44th minute which finally decided the game. The Bucks pulled off a big win against an opponent that could give them big problems for the rest of the season and potentially in the playoffs.
