NBA, the 7 things that stayed with us from the night: Giannis Antetokounbo is a goalscoring machine
Unaffected by absences and annoyances, John continues to leave the NBA world with his mouth open at a time when Harden’s impact on Ebid is already evident. Sportish presents the 7 things that caught the eye in the NBA at dawn.
A goal machine, Giannis Antetokounbo doesn’t brag about absences or annoyances and continues to leave the entire NBA gaping. On the other hand, Harden’s arrival in Philadelphia seems to have influenced Ebid’s game, but he hasn’t found it yet.
the Sportish presents the 7 things that caught the eye in a 7-game night in the NBA.
The game of the evening
A great battle was fought in Minnesota between the Wolves and the Hornets, with the hosts eventually taking the win in overtime 126-120 and rising to 31-27 in the season. Both teams laid their lives on the floor but Wolves were the ones smiling at the end of the night as Towns put on a show, especially in overtime.
The big host had 39 points with 15 rebounds in the match, while Bridges for the visitors had 28 points with 13 rebounds and Roger and Bowl had 25 and 22 points, respectively. In addition to Towns, Russell and McDaniels also showed excellent performances with 18 points each.
The Appearance of the Night
A name, a mythical appearance. John Antetokounmpo. The “Greek Freak” reactivated Beast Mode and led the Bucks from safety with an incredible 50-point performance in the 128-119 win over the Pacers in Milwaukee. Giannis was incredible returning in terrible shape after missing the previous game due to complaints, scoring 50 points in just 21 tries and driving the Fiserv forums crazy.
In detail he had 15/18 two points, 2/3 three points, 14/18 shots and if he scored the last pair he executed he would set his career record! He filled his stats with 14 rebounds (10 defense – 4 offense) and 4 assists in the 36 minutes he was down, and as excessive as it may sound, he could have paired that great night with the triple-double.
The Celtics continue unabated
The Boston team seems to have found their rhythm, defeating the Sixers 135-87 in Philadelphia, going up to 34-25 and extending their winning streak to 9-0. The Celtics have had ups and downs in their performance leading into the new year but 2022 seems to be suiting them well and they continue to build on the winning streak they had started.
Smart’s injury caused an uproar in the game against the Sixers, but the visitors seemed unaffected and, with leader Tatum, clinched another win in impressive fashion.
Do it like James Harden or don’t
He’s now a teammate with the Sixers and it seems his arrival in Philadelphia has prompted him to add variety to his game. The reason for James Harden and Joel Ebid, the latter trying the tricks of the “Bart” but to no avail.
In particular, Ebid attempted to try Harden’s signature move, spotting himself and scoring with a step-back three-pointer, but something went very wrong. The tall six not only failed to hit, but made moves that showed Harden’s intense lessons on this play probably didn’t catch on.
John approaches Jordan
Giannis Antetokounbo has achieved almost everything in the NBA. With his last legendary performance against the Pacers, where he scored 50 points, the “Greek Freak” is now chasing the only Michael Jordan performance left to him.
It’s difficult to compare to the great Jordan, but Giannis’ hard work and results on the court have earned him respect and put his name alongside those of the greatest NBA legends.
Giannis Antitokoumbo, who has won MVP of the Season, MVP Finals and Defensive of the Year awards, is the only one who can overtake Michael Jordan.
The Bucks star currently sits at the top of the season’s top scorers list with an average of 29.4 points in 48 games, while behind is Joel Ebid with 29.3 in 45 games.
The Hawks are coming
After a period of inactivity in the last period, the Hawks are slowly finding their feet again under Tre Yang’s leadership. They won for the second year in a row, beating the highly promoted Cavaliers in Atlanta 124-116 and it seems they are starting to recover from the bad period they went through.
Yang was unstoppable, scoring 41 points and was the one whose performance put a smile on the Hawks and the team’s record of 27-30.
family comes first
Antetokounbros have proven many times that family comes first. Both the bond they have as brothers and their relationship with their mother Veronia, whom they love very much, is special.
After the end of the game against the Pacers and the fifty he scored, Giannis wanted to give his mother his gig’s jersey, thereby reaffirming the above. She didn’t hesitate to pose for a picture wearing her son’s ’50s shirt, even uploading the photo to her personal Facebook account and writing, “Wow, the looks of 50 points.”
How proud could the only woman in the family behind this photo be?
