Hard fought Clippers defeat Pistons on Leonard’s return

Kawhi Leonard was returning from a 12-game absence and was rusty – as expected – but still the Clippers found a way to beat the injury-plagued Pistons 96-91, albeit a tough one.

Kawhi Leonard played for the first time in almost a month and 12 games. He was rusty. The Clippers also looked rusty. Still, even with… Kraft, the LA team won 96-91 against the — minus Cunningham and Stewart — Pistons.

Reggie Jackson led by 23 points, Paul George and Marcus Morris each added 16, and Leonard had 6 points at 2/8 shooting on a night when the Clippers were even -12. However, a burst in the third period put them back in the game, with LA doing what they had to do to claim the win in the fourth period.

With the Pistons, Bojan Bogdanovic had 26 points and rookie Jaden Ivey had 18 points (but on 8/21 shooting).
