Kyrie Irving apologized for a second time – this time in a lengthy interview – for the anti-Semitic video he uploaded, apologized to the Jewish community and is ready to return to Nets duties.

Kyrie Irving has decided it’s time to publicly apologize again for promoting a film with anti-Semitic content. And he made sure to say all the things it took him so long to say to prove him wrong.

The Nets star gave the SNY network a lengthy interview in which he spent 20 minutes discussing the matter and apologizing in every possible way for the disruption he caused which resulted in him being fined by the Nets .

I’m not antisemitic. I never was” Irving initially explained, only to add: “I have no hatred in my heart for Jews or anyone who identifies as a Jew. I’m not antisemitic or something like that. And it’s hard to sit at home with my family and watch them ask me those questions.”

The Nets star then added: “It’s hard for me to explain some things because I know who I am and what I stand for. But I think the hard part is understanding that my voice has power and influence. I’m not a role model for anyone, but I’m a person who wants to make a difference. To do this, I have to live responsibly and be a role model for young people. For my generation and the next generation.”

In conclusion, Irving – who after his apology will now most likely return for the Nets’ next game against the rival Grizzlies – said:I want to focus on the pain I caused and the impact it has on the Jewish community. I would like to apologize if my actions have threatened the Jewish community since I made this post. I’ve had a lot of time to think, but my goal, if I could do it again, would be to improve my relationships with my Jewish relatives, brothers and sisters.”
