Vintage Klay Thompson with 41 points and 10 threes leads Warriors to victory over Rockets

Turning back the clock, Klay Thompson put in an incredible performance with 41 points on 10/13 threes and partnered with Steph Curry (33 points – 15 assists) to see the Warriors beat the Rockets 127-120 in Houston. First away win of the season for the champions.

The Warriors have tasted a win in an away game for the first time this year after 8 straight losses. And they owe it to the two people who changed their story: Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, who combined for 74 points in their 120-127 win over the Rockets in Houston.


Thompson turned back the clock a few months and stalled at 41 points on 10 of 13 3-pointers (he had 20 points in the first period), with Curry adding 33 points on 7 of 14 3-pointers and 15 assists as a Golden State took the win despite losing by 19 points. Andrew Wiggins was also outstanding with 22 points.

For the Rockets, Kevin Porter had 30 points, Jabari Smith had 22 points, and Tarry Eason had 19 points.
