Mitchell and Garland lead Hawks, win for Clippers and Wolves
With 55 points and 18 assists from Mitchell and Garland, the Cavaliers beat the Hawks 114-102. The Clippers – without Paul George – beat the Jazz, win for the Wolves, Pacers and Knicks.
The Cavaliers had some ups and downs early in the season. The up arrow against the Hawks was enough for them to win 114-102 against Atlanta.
Donovan Mitchell with 29 points and 9 rebounds and Darius Garland with 26 points and 9 assists (but also 8 turnovers) were the Cavaliers’ leaders, with Chedi Osman adding 23 points for a Cleveland who cleaned up the game midway through the fourth third .
For the Hawks, Trae Young had 25 points and 10 assists and Onyeka Okonyu had 18 points and 10 rebounds while Dejude Marie had 11 points on 4/17 shooting.

The Clippers took on the Jazz without Paul George (knee problem). The vaunted depth of their roster proved enough to bow Utah and earn victory in an odd 121-114 matchup after falling 17 points behind and ultimately having to fight their way back to win.
Norman Powell with 30 points and Reggie Jackson with 27 points led the winners, with Ivica Zubac adding 14 points and 14 rebounds.
For the Jazz, Jordan Clarkson had 26 points and Lauri Markkanen had 25 points and 10 rebounds.
