Check out the detailed schedule of the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend. Sportish brings you pictures, reactions, statements and background information from the three festive days, which are being hosted by Cleveland.

For three days, the heart of world basketball beats in Cleveland. Here in cold Ohio, home of LeBron James and Steph Curry, home of Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, where John Antitokunbo will make his debut as a champion rather than a rising superstar. The 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend is about to begin and there will be a…star boat to excite, excite and inspire the six-figure crowd the city is waiting for.

Mission to Cleveland: Harris Stavrou

The program basically starts early Friday morning with the media availability of the 28 players who will take part in the Rising Stars Challenge, radically renewed this year. Four teams, a mini-tournament where the winners of the semi-finals advance to the final, and not a match like we knew until last year, with first and second place winners playing each other in a regular match.

The standout rookies are Scotty Barnes (Raptors), Josh Giddy (Thunder), Evan Mobley (Cavaliers), Jalen Green (Rockets), Cade Cunningham (Pistons), Alperen Shengun, Rho (N) (Pelicans), Jalen Saggs (Magic) , Chris Duarte (Pacers), Davion Mitchell (Kings), Franz Wagner (Magic).

The selected sophomores are Presbyterians Atsua (Raptors), Sadik Bay (Pistons), Jaden McDaniels (Timberwolves), Cole Anthony (Magic), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Aberjas (Oberhalls) (Kings), Isaiah Stewart (Pistons ), Desmond Bain (Grizzlies), Tyrese Maxi (Sixers), Jason Tate (Rockets).

The four players of Ignite, a G-League team, are Marton Botshab, Dyson Daniels, Jaden Hardy and Scott Henderson. The selection was made by the NBA assistant coaches. The Rising Stars Challenge, this year called Clorox Rising Stars, takes place on Friday evening at 04:00 in the early hours of Saturday morning in Greece. Before that, at 02:00 GMT, the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will start, while before that we will be at the Hall of Famers press conference at 00:30 GMT.

On Saturday, the day begins with the All-Stars training before everyone meets with the accredited journalists. Do not think that the conditions of previous years will prevail, with 50 and 80 people around Giannis Antitokoumbo and LeBron James, the coronavirus continues to plague the US and the few will be the journalists who will have full access throughout the three days. Sportish has secured it and is therefore presenting you with pictures and moments literally from the heart of the action.

On Sunday morning at 2am there will be the well-established annual press conference by Commissioner Adam Silver, who always answers questions politely and honestly, with the program of competitions starting immediately afterwards at 3am.

In the skill competition, we’ll see the Antetokounmpo team (John, Thanassis, Alex), the Cavs (Darius Garland, Ivan Mobley, Jarrett Allen), and the Rooks (Josh Giddy, Cade Cunningham, Scotty Barnes). In the three-point contest, we see Desmond Bain, Luke Kenard, Jacques Lavigne, CJ McCollum, Patti Mills, Carl-Anthony Towns, Fred VanVlitt, Trey Young. And in her nail contest Cole Anthony, Jalen Green, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Obi Topin.

On Sunday at 20:00 Greek time, the G-League Next Gem Game will take place at the Wolstein Center, while at 21:00 (15:00 local time) the city’s Public Auditorium will host a 150-minute concert Go With Best Whimsical in the All-Star Game. The gates open at 5:30pm Cleveland time and play begins at 8pm local time, which is 3am in Greece, in the early hours of February 21st. Antetokunbo will win there with Steve Carey, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Darius Garland, Chris Paul, Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitrell and Fleur Mitchell. This could be the most beautiful squad ever.
