Banquero took Durant’s jersey after the 45′ he threw at his team
Kevin Durant injured the Magic with 45 points and later gifted his jersey to Orlando rookie Paolo Banquero, even giving him an assist.
The Magic lost 109-102 to the Nets thanks largely to performances by Kevin Durant, who scored 45 points (16/19 2-pointers, 3/5 3-pointers, 4/4 shots), still with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. But Paolo Banquero couldn’t resist the temptation and asked for the KD jersey.
As well as not rejecting him, the Nets star gave him some advice, writing on No.7 “P, the work never stops”to encourage the young rookie to keep working to reach his maximum potential.
