Williamson stomps Spurs, Rockets surprise in Phoenix

With 30 points and 15 rebounds from Zion Williamson, the Pelicans tied the Spurs 117-99 in San Antonio. Rockets upset Suns in Phoenix, injured Hawks beat Nuggets, wins for Cavaliers, Jazz and Grizzlies.

Zion Williamson is feeling better every day. That was evident in San Antonio as the brute forward gobbled up the Spurs and led the Pelicans to a 99-117 win without Ingram.

Williamson was second to none, finishing the game with 30 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists, dominating the floor. Jonas Valanciunas followed closely with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Trey Murphy added 17 points.

For the Spurs, Devin Vassell had 25 points and Keldon Johnson had 15 points (but 7/23 shooting).

Falcons – nuggets 117-109

The Hawks took on the Nuggets without Young, Hunter and Collins. That didn’t stop them, however, from clinching a 117-109 win over – without Michael Porter – Denver.

Dejude Marie’s 34 points led the Hawks, with AJ Griffin adding 24 points.

For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic had 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and Jamal Murray had 20 points.

Suns – Rockets 121-122

The rockets shocked the suns in Phoenix. And somehow in the end it looked like they almost killed themselves before claiming a magnificent 121-122 win, trailing by -16 but losing by six points in the last minute! The Suns had one shot at the win but missed 4 shots in the final.

Jalen Green with 30 points and Jabari Smith with 17 points led the winners.

For the Suns, Devin Booker had 41 points, Mikal Bridges had 22 points, and Cameron Payne had 20 points and 12 assists.

Cavaliers – Magic 107-96

The Cavaliers did what they had to do against the Magic, played all they had to and won 107-96, even leading in one game by 20 points.

Donovan Mitchell led by 34 points for the winners – who were going for another game without Jarrett Allen – with Evan Mobley adding 19 points and 13 rebounds and Darius Garland on 18 points (but on 6/15 shooting).

For the Magic, Paolo Banquero had 22 points and Cole Anthony had 19 points.

Jazz – Pacers 139-119

The Jazz continued their upward trend, easily winning 139-119 against the Pacers, with a steady lead beginning in the second period.

Lauri Markkanen with 24 points and 13 rebounds led the way for the winners, with rookie Walker Kessler adding 20 points and 11 rebounds and Jordan Clarkson adding 19 points.

With the Pacers, Myles Turner had 18 points and Tyrese Halliburton and Jaylen Smith each had 14 points.

THE DODECALPTA: 35-24, 75-59, 101-81, 139-119

Grizzly Bears – Sixers 117-109

The Grizzlies had a tough time against the — minus Harden and Maxey — Sixers, losing an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter. But in the end they didn’t pay for it, did what they had to do and took the win 117-109.

Ja Morad led with 28 points, Jaren Jackson added 22 points.

For the Sixers, Joel Embiid had 35 points and 11 rebounds and Tobias Harris had 21 points and 11 rebounds.

THE DODECALPTA: 29-30, 64-54, 92-76, 117-109

Hornets – Wizards 117-116

It was a crazy game in Charlotte that saw the Hornets lose a 22-point lead but ended up clinching a 117-116 win over the Wizards. Washington put on an incredible feat in the 4th quarter, topping it 28-10 in their favor, but in the end they couldn’t get the shot that would have given them the win.

Terry Rozier led by 25 points, Kelly Oubre added 22 points and PJ Washington added 21 points.

With the Wizards, Bradley Beal had 33 points (but poor decisions in the finals) and Kristaps Porzingis had 21 points (but 5/14 shooting) and 11 rebounds.
