Return night for the NBA, with the Hawks’ Bogdan Bogdanovic and the Nets’ TJ Warren playing for the first time this year after 8 months and 2 years absence respectively.

December 2 will have a meaning of its own for Bogdan Bogdanovic and TJ Warren. The two forwards took the field for the first time this season and saw months of effort – or, in Warren’s case, years – pay off as they embarked on a rehab program to overcome their injuries.

Bogdanovic played 22 minutes in the Hawks’ 117-109 win over the Nuggets, with 5 points on 2/9 shooting (1/6 3-points), 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 turnovers. “i feel amazing We won and I’m happy about that. When I first played through the game I was calm, it was perfect.” said the Serb after the game, who was sidelined for eight months due to knee surgery last June, which ruled him out of EuroBasket 2023.

For his part, Warren walked through his own Calvary. The Nets forward played 17 minutes in the Nets’ 114-105 win over the Raptors, scoring 10 points on 5/9 2 points, 0/2 3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 foul to say, that “it seemed like a dream. As soon as I hit the ground, I knew it was real.” Warren had not played an official game since Dec. 29, 2020 — as a Pacers player — after undergoing back-to-back left ankle surgeries and anxiously awaiting his return.
