Tatum and Brown executed the Nets in Brooklyn
A notch higher than the Celtics, they beat the Nets in Brooklyn 103-92, with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum scoring 63 points combined.
The Celtics still have their way with the Nets. In the first meeting between the two teams since last year’s playoff clash – where Boston ‘swept’ the New Yorkers 4-0 – the ‘Celts’ showed they still have the upper hand, beating Brooklyn 92-103.
Jaylen Brown with 34 points and 10 rebounds and Jayson Tatum with 29 points and 11 rebounds (but also 9 turnovers) were the front runners among the winners who still managed to keep the shots going thanks to their abysmal defense which kept Brooklyn at 40.5% on shots got victory. And all without Marcus Smart and Robert Williams, arguably their two best defenders.
For the Nets, who didn’t have Ben Simmons in their lineup for another game, Kevin Durant had 31 points (but 8 errors) and Kyrie Irving had 18 points (but 7/21 shooting).
