Philadelphia 76ers achieved an important victory over Los Angeles Lakers 133 to 122 on the day of Friday, December 9. Last Moment of Madness: When everything looked good for Philly, a couple of mistakes by Harden brought the Lakers back into contention. Little by little, the Californians fought back and got 2 points with 10 seconds left.

5:06 (108-95): Key to Philly’s success was the contribution of Matisse Thybulle. Very active with his hands and when it comes to positioning back. In 13 minutes he has 9 points, 3 steals and +15.
7:10 (104-91): The Lakers are struggling to be consistent on both ends of the court. Good defensive actions fail to complete them and vice versa depending on the section. Embiid is still not comfortable, but the Sixers manage to get comfortable shots.

10:00 (99-84): Harden takes advantage of the speculative nature of the Lakers’ transition defense to get a big shot. Start 5-1 and the Angels call a timeout.
Third quarter
Final (93-83): the locals were able to find the key, lining up Matisse Thybulle with Melton and reducing Embiid’s midpost touches. The Lakers, then and supported only by an incredible Austin Reaves, leading scorer with 20 points.

4:17 (82-79): LeBron James’ job under the basket defending Embiid while Davis is still on the bench with foul trouble is huge. Since the first quarter, the Cameroonian has added just 7 points.
7:06 (79-70): Individual 8-3 for Philly with two 3-pointers followed by Melton that lifted the locals. Good minutes now of Doc Rivers after the initial collapse.
10:00 (66-63): Harden picks up where he left off, attacking the paint and hurting the Lakers. Embiid, disappeared after the first quarter.

Rest (61-59): Sixers withstand opposing offensive barrage to advance to halftime. A good shutdown of Harden as an organizer, finding his released partners gives them air.
