The Analysis of Embiids 53 and the Role of the Passer Harden

Embiid looked like he was on a mission. He just chose how to attack and he did it, wreaking havoc and taking his team by the hand.

The connection with Harden that will decide a lot

As impressive as Embiid was, there was another fact that made the Sixers smile: Of James Harden’s 16 assists, 10 went to Embiid, with the Cameroonian center scoring 21 of those total, 53 of his points from his teammate helps.

This fact is most encouraging for the Sixers as they try to “marry” on the floor two players who have tremendous attacking talents but both want the ball in their hands.

But for Philadelphia to reach its true ceiling, Embiid and Harden must strike a balance between execution and creation to pull the team higher. Maybe the game against the Hornets was a start.

At the end of the day, the image of the dominant Embiid left everyone in shock and awe. However, those watching the big picture were even more excited about his partnership with Harden. A partnership that, if it works, can be set very high for the Sixers.
