Obi Topin is the winner of the dunk contest

Obi Topin took first place in the dunk contest and defeated Juan Toscano-Anderson in the finals in an open nail contest in which no contestant was able to get even a 50 point from the judges.

Obi Topin is the new king of NBA nails. The Knicks forward won first place in the 2022 All Star Weekend dunk contest, in one of the most straightforward contests in the institution’s history.

Topin defeated Juan Toscano-Anderson in the final, with Cole Anthony and Jalen Green closing out the competition.

The bar was set very high due to the horrible competitions of the past, but unfortunately the 4 contestants passed below that as the competition was marked by many misplaced nails and incomplete attempts, while not a single 50 ari (ie five 10 ari) was given by them Judge.

In the final, Topin simply completed…his two nails – Tuscano-Anderson missed his second – and secured the win with 45 and 47 points respectively on his two nails.

The development of the first round:

Cole Anthony kicked things off by calling his father – a veteran NBA player and NBA commentator on TNT – Cole Anthony – onto the stage. He wore his father’s jersey from when he played for the Knicks, wore shoes…Timberland, and put his father under the basket to catch the ball. He then took form, snatching the ball out of his father’s hand and nailing a windmill (on the third try), earning 40 points.

Juan Toscano-Anderson then followed. He placed Warriors teammate Andrew Wiggins under the basket and went over to nail it, doing something of a windmill and amassing 44 points.

Obi Topin entered the dance third, placing DJ Calent under the basket and going over it to nail, passing the ball behind his back before nailing, and successfully nailing the third attempt, earning 44 points.

Jalen Green finished fourth. Lifting off the baseline, he initially wanted to take a pass off the side of the board before getting stuck. After 5 failed attempts, he changed his shot and received a pass while jumping high and nailing with a windmill with both hands, earning 38 points.

With the lowest score on the first nail, Green was the first to launch his second attempt and nailed it 360 degrees, passing the ball under his feet, earning 45 points.

Anthony followed, threw the ball off the threesome and slammed it to the ground and was about to catch it and do a 360 degree spin before nailing it, but he failed on all 3 attempts resulting in 30 points.

Tuscano-Anderson chose a 360-degree spin with a windmill for his second nailing, which he did on the second attempt, earning 43 points.

Finishing in last place on his second try, Topin threw the ball on the board, jumped up, passed it under his feet and nailed it upside down in the basket, earning 46 points and advancing to the finals with Tuscano-Anderson.

The development of the finale

Tuscano-Anderson started the finale with the goal of building a nail windmill by sticking his hand in the hoop up to his elbow. However, he failed to jump high enough, making a simple nail of a windmill and earning 39 points.

Topin followed and failed on his first two attempts. On his third try, he threw the ball onto the board, picked it up and passed it between his legs before nailing it, earning 45 points.

NBA: Jokic’s triple-double, loss to Houston, San Antonio win over Oklahoma

On the evening of December 25 and the night of December 26, five Christmas games were traditionally held as part of the NBA regular season.

The most important match of the match day was played in Oklahoma, where the Thunder hosted San Antonio.

Forbes named the most valuable sports team of 2025

Version Forbes announced its annual ranking of the world’s most expensive sports teams.

NFL franchise Dallas Cowboys, estimated to be worth $13 billion, has led the pack for the ninth year in a row.

While NBA Golden State Warriors ranked second with a valuation of $11 billion, another representative of American football, Los Angeles Rams (10.5 billion), was in the top three.

The top 10, as last year, includes only American teams from the NFL and NBA. There are seven NFL clubs in the top 10 overall, which Forbes analysts attribute to the league’s large-scale television contracts.

Among football clubs, Real Madrid remains the most expensive – the Spanish giant ranked only 20th with a value of $6.75 billion.

Also in the top 50 are Manchester United (24th, 6.6 billion), Barcelona (42nd, 5.65 billion) and Liverpool (48th, 5.4 billion). In total, only four football clubs are represented in the top 50 rankings.

Formula 1 representatives also returned to the list – Ferrari (26th place) and Mercedes (34th).
